Terms of use
Effective 25 October 2026
This is a translation of the Polish terms (Regulamin); if they differ, the Polish version prevails.
1. General
- These terms govern the use of the game “Zorya: World in the Mist” (Polish version: “Zorya: Świat we mgle”) available at https://zorya.quest (the game). They are the terms of electronic services under the Polish Act of 18 July 2002.
- The service provider is Tomasz Watras, trading as Houda Tomasz Watras, ul. Żelazna 2, 40-851 Katowice, Poland, tax ID (NIP) 6292324622, REGON 521571765, e-mail: hallo@zorya.quest.
- The game is free of charge and in beta, so its rules and look may change often. Voluntary paid support for the creator is described in section 7.
- The game uses the Strava API but is not developed, sponsored or endorsed by Strava. Strava is not responsible for the game and does not provide support for it.
2. How the game works
- The map of Silesia is covered with fog. Strava activities reveal the area along their routes. On revealed ground you can collect virtual crystals that earn points. Details are in the game rules (in Polish).
- The services are: a player account, a map with your progress, automatic import of Strava activities, and a collection of crystals and points.
3. Technical requirements
You need a device with internet access, an up-to-date browser with JavaScript and WebGL, a Strava account, and to accept the session cookie. Sharing your location is optional.
4. Account
- You create an account by signing in with Strava. The service agreement is concluded when you first sign in.
- You must be at least 16 years old to play. One Strava account is one game account.
- Your account is personal. You are responsible for the security of your Strava account.
5. Fair play and safety
- Only connect your own Strava account and activities you have actually completed.
- Faking routes, interfering with the game, bypassing its security, scraping it, and submitting unlawful content are prohibited.
- Crystals are purely virtual. During your activities obey the law, including traffic rules, do not enter private, closed or dangerous areas, and take care. The game does not encourage risk.
6. Points and crystals
Points, crystals and revealed areas have no monetary value and cannot be sold or exchanged for prizes. Because the game is in beta, their number, values and locations may change and progress may be recalculated.
7. Keepers of the Fire: voluntary support
- Players may voluntarily support the game’s creator with a “Keeper of the Fire” subscription for 10 PLN a month or 50 PLN a year. Prices are final.
- In return, we show the name the player enters, their arms and epithet in the Gallery of keepers on the Keepers of the Fire page, if the player agrees, for the whole paid period. Support gives no advantage in the game and no extra features.
- Payments are handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.): card, BLIK, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The support agreement is concluded when the first period is paid, and Stripe e-mails payment receipts.
- The subscription renews automatically for the next period and is paid in advance at its start. You can cancel at any time on the Keepers of the Fire page (Payments, receipts and cancelling) or by e-mail. After cancelling, support lasts until the end of the paid period and does not renew.
- Consumers, and sole traders concluding the agreement outside their professional activity, may withdraw from the support agreement without giving a reason within 14 days of concluding it by writing to hallo@zorya.quest. We then refund the full payment within 14 days using the same payment method.
- Deleting your game account ends the subscription immediately. There is no refund for the unused part of the period, except under point 5.
- If we shut the game down, we will refund keepers the part of the fee for the unused period.
8. Liability
- We take care of the game but do not guarantee it will be available without interruptions or errors. Maintenance breaks and, in exceptional cases, loss of progress may happen.
- We are not responsible for Strava, including unavailability of its API.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law.
9. Account deletion and termination
- You can delete your account at any time in your player profile (Delete account button) or by e-mail. Deletion erases all your data in the game revokes the game’s access to your Strava account and ends any Keeper of the Fire subscription. The agreement ends when the account is deleted.
- We may block or delete the account of a player who seriously breaches these terms (e.g. fakes routes). The player can appeal by e-mail under the complaint procedure.
- We may shut the game down after announcing it in the game at least 14 days in advance. All player data will then be deleted.
10. Complaints
Send complaints and questions to hallo@zorya.quest. Describe the problem and give the name on your Strava account so we can find you. We will reply within 14 days.
11. Personal data
How we process data is described in the privacy policy.
12. Changes
We will announce changes to these terms in the game at least 7 days before they take effect. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account in that time.
13. Final provisions
These terms are governed by Polish law. Disputes are resolved by the competent court under general rules. Map data: © OpenStreetMap contributors, tiles by OpenFreeMap.
